Brother FS101
Unfortunately this particular model has been discontinued. Brother FS40S is a close relative or if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, check out Brother LS14S which is also a great option for beginner sewers.
SINGER S0235 OVERLOCKER
I bought this years ago when it was on sale and it’s still working perfectly. It’s retail price can be somewhat pricey. A cheaper alternative is the Brother M343D or use the zigzag stitch or an overlocker foot on your sewing machine.

FISKARS COMFORT ROTARY CUTTER
I have been in-love with this rotary cutter. I am left handed, so being able to change which side the blade can be have been a god send for someone who spent a long time using rotary cutters and scissors designed for right handed people. Find this on Amazon.
Chiaogoo interchangeable
Having previously been a using budget knitting needles from my local craft store, I made the decision to invest in good knitting needles. I am still fairly new to knitting (around 2 years) and having already tried both straight and circular needles, I find the I much prefer interchageable needles as it allows me the freedom to switch between projects without losing the previous one. Find this on Amazon.

BOYE CROCHET HOOKS
I have been a crocheter longer than I was a knitter. Upgrading to metal crochet hooks has been the best decision, as it makes crocheting much smoother than plastic or bamboo. Similar to knitting, the yarn glides easily and unlike the plastic ones these are more sturdy (I have snapped a couple of plastic hooks in the past).
Find these on Amazon or if you’re looking for ergonomic hooks, I recommend KnitPro crochet hooks which has ergonomic handles. The only downside with these types of hooks are that you can’t really do a lot of Tunisian crochet.
